Script is an Add Object tool in Experimental inside 3DPlotter V3 Studio. Plot a parametric curve from two expressions. `t` sweeps the range; `i`, `k` and `s` number the copies.
How to use Script
- Open Studio → Add Object → Experimental → Script
- A live Script element is added to the active layer
- Tune parameters in the element card in the object stack (live canvas preview)
- Export plot-ready G-code when satisfied
Menu path: Add Object → Experimental → Script
Key controls
- t from — 0 (-100–100 step 0.1)
- t to — 6.28 (-100–100 step 0.1)
- Detail — 900 (8–8000 step 8)
- Copies — 1 (1–200 step 1)
- Copy Step (s) — 0.1 (-5–5 step 0.01)
Tune t from, t to, detail, copies, and copy step (s) in the inspector — open Studio to see all options.
Shuffle (in the element card) re-rolls: tEnd, copies, copyStep.
What you can plot with Script
- Pen-plotter art on A4/A3 beds (Bambu Lab, Prusa, Creality, and other pen-holder setups)
- Layered linework exported as G-code with pen-up travel
- Combined with other V3 objects and modifiers in the same document
Frequently asked questions
Where is Script in the menu?
Add Object → Experimental → Script
What can I adjust?
Start with the key controls above, then fine-tune everything else in the inspector inside Studio.
Is this non-destructive?
Objects live on layers as elements. You can edit parameters anytime; delete the element to remove it.
Does Script work with multi-pen plotting?
Yes. Use Pen Palette on a layer to split linework by color, or set per-path ink on modifiers like Offset.
Try Script
Open 3DPlotter Studio, follow the steps above, and export a test plot. Lifetime V3 access is €29.90.
