GenplotPrompt → plotter-ready SVG in seconds
Describe line art for your pen plotter. Genplot returns clean vector paths — mono or multi-pen layers — sized to your bed, editable on the board, exportable as SVG or G-code.

How Genplot Works
From prompt to physical ink in four steps — no Illustrator tracing, no bitmap cleanup.
Describe Your Line Art
Open Genplot inside 3DPlotter and type a prompt — "minimal mountain range", "art deco border", "friendly dragon outline". Genplot is tuned for single-weight strokes that pens can actually draw, not shaded bitmaps.
- Up to 1,000 characters per prompt
- Square, landscape, portrait, or bed-fit aspect ratios
- Built-in examples to try before you spend a credit
- Free sacred-geometry sample — no credit required
Pick Single or Multi-Pen
Choose one black layer for classic mono plots, or multi-color mode to split paths into separate pen layers — each color maps to a pen change on your plotter.
- Single pen: one SVG layer, ideal for fineliners
- Multi-color: separate layers per ink color
- Palette presets aligned to common pen sets
- Paths land on the bed ready to edit
Edit on the Bed
Generated vectors appear on your virtual plotter bed at the correct scale. Use Eraser to remove paths, Move to reposition, and scale to fit your paper before export.
- Live preview on your printer bed dimensions
- Eraser, move, and layer tools built in
- Download SVG anytime — your edited vector is yours
- Combine with imported SVGs and text on the same board
Export G-code & Plot
Export printer-aware G-code through PlotFlow Engine — safe Z moves, pen-up heights, and profiles for Bambu Lab, Prusa, Creality, and custom beds.
- One-click G-code for your printer profile
- Pen-up / pen-down tuned for plotting, not 3D printing
- Multi-pen layer export with pen-change pauses
- Repeatable results session after session
Built for Plotters, Not Screens
General AI art tools optimize for pixels. Genplot optimizes for pens, beds, and G-code.
Plotter-Native Vectors
Genplot outputs clean SVG paths with consistent stroke weight — no raster tracing step, no jagged halftones. What you see on the bed is what the pen draws.
Multi-Pen Color Layers
Switch to multi-color mode and each hue becomes its own layer. Swap pens at each pause and produce full-color plots from a single prompt.
Bed-Fit Aspect Ratio
Generate art sized to your actual bed — A1 mini, P1S, custom board — so scaling surprises disappear before you load paper.
Credit-Based, No Subscription
Pay as you go: 10 for 50 credits (0,20 € per generation). Credits never expire while your account is active.
Download SVG Anytime
Keep the vector file for laser cutting, vinyl, or another plotter. Genplot is a creative starting point, not a walled garden.
Inside PlotFlow Engine
Genplot plugs into the same Content → Motion → Mechanics stack as fonts, hatching, and SVG import — one workflow from idea to finished plot.
What Makers Plot with Genplot
Wall Art & Posters
Generate geometric patterns, botanical line work, or typographic compositions sized to A3 or custom frames.
Greeting Cards & Stationery
Seasonal borders, monograms, and illustration outlines that plot cleanly on cardstock with a fine liner.
Multi-Color Gift Plots
Layered color art for birthdays, weddings, and studio commissions — each pen pass adds another ink.
Rapid Ideation
Sketch ten directions in minutes before committing paper. Iterate prompts until the composition clicks.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Genplot?
Genplot is the AI line-art generator built into 3DPlotter. You describe artwork in plain language and receive SVG vector paths optimized for pen plotters — single-weight outlines suitable for physical pens, not filled illustrations meant for screens.
How much does Genplot cost?
Each generation costs 1 AI credit. Credits are sold in packs of 50 for €10.00 (excluding tax; VAT is calculated at Stripe checkout). That is roughly €0.20 per image. You also need 3DPlotter web app access (included in the Creator Bundle).
Do I need a 3D printer to use Genplot?
Genplot runs inside 3DPlotter and is designed for people who plot with a 3D printer and pen holder. You can still download the SVG and use it elsewhere — laser cutter, Cricut, dedicated AxiDraw — but the full bed preview and G-code export assume a printer-based plotter setup.
What is the difference between single pen and multi-color mode?
Single pen mode outputs one black layer — best for mono fineliner plots. Multi-color mode splits the artwork into separate SVG layers by color so you can assign each layer to a different pen and export G-code with pen-change pauses between layers.
Can I edit the AI artwork before plotting?
Yes. Every generation lands on the plotter bed as editable vector paths. Remove unwanted paths with Eraser, reposition groups with Move, combine with imported SVGs or Hershey text, then export SVG or G-code.
Is there a free way to try Genplot?
Yes. Genplot includes example prompts and a free sacred-geometry sample you can load without spending a credit. Create an account, open the plotter, click Genplot, and use "Use this example" on the free sample.
Which printers work with Genplot output?
Any FDM printer with a compatible pen holder and a 3DPlotter profile — Bambu Lab (A1, P1, P2, X1, H2), Prusa, Creality, Ender, and custom bed sizes. Genplot produces SVG; PlotFlow Engine converts it to printer-specific G-code.
How is Genplot different from DALL·E or Midjourney?
General image AI tools output pixels. Genplot outputs vector paths with plotter-friendly stroke logic — fewer filled blobs, more drawable lines. It is purpose-built for pen plotting inside a workflow that already handles G-code, pen heights, and multi-pen exports.
