3D Letters is an Add Object tool in Experimental inside 3DPlotter V3 Studio. Real typeface outlines extruded into depth.
How to use 3D Letters
- Open Studio → Add Object → Experimental → 3D Letters
- A live 3D Letters element is added to the active layer
- Tune parameters in the element card in the object stack (live canvas preview)
- Export plot-ready G-code when satisfied

Key controls
- Font — Inter · Inter, Roboto, Open Sans…
- Weight — 700 · 100 Thin, 200 ExtraLight, 300 Light…
- Align — center · Left, Center, Right
- Case — upper · Original, Uppercase, Lowercase, Title Case
- Face Opacity — opaque · Opaque Faces, See-Through
Tune font, weight, align, case, and face opacity in the inspector — open Studio to see all options.
Shuffle (in the element card) re-rolls: fontFamily, fontWeight, textAlign, letterSpacingPercent, extrusionDepth, faceOpacityMode, showFaceOutline, showFaceFill, faceFillStyle, faceLineCount, faceLineAngle, showBackFace, showSideEdges, sideRibs, sideContourBands, edgeFillet, taper, twist, depthSkewX, depthSkewY, yaw, pitch.
What you can plot with 3D Letters
- Pen-plotter art on A4/A3 beds (Bambu Lab, Prusa, Creality, and other pen-holder setups)

Is this non-destructive?
Objects live on layers as elements. You can edit parameters anytime; delete the element to remove it.
Does 3D Letters work with multi-pen plotting?
Yes. Use Pen Palette on a layer to split linework by color, or set per-path ink on modifiers like Offset.
