Fern is an Add Object tool in Experimental inside 3DPlotter V3 Studio. Mirrored ribbon leaves with contour bands, veins and tendrils.
How to use Fern
- Open Studio → Add Object → Experimental → Fern
- A live Fern element is added to the active layer
- Tune parameters in the element card in the object stack (live canvas preview)
- Export plot-ready G-code when satisfied

- Frond Height — 150mm (20–200mm step 1)
- Frond Width — 22mm (8–64mm step 1)
- Spread — 26mm (8–100mm step 1)
- Sway — -14mm (-48–58mm step 1)
- Tip Curl — 44mm (-48–60mm step 1)
Tune frond height, frond width, spread, sway, and tip curl in the inspector — open Studio to see all options.
Shuffle (in the element card) re-rolls: seed, bandCount, ribCount, rotation.

- Pen-plotter art on A4/A3 beds (Bambu Lab, Prusa, Creality, and other pen-holder setups)
- Layered linework exported as G-code with pen-up travel
