I added Emboss under Add Object → Image. Reads this layer's image as a height map and draws it in relief.
How to use Emboss
- Open Studio → Add Object → Image → Emboss
- A live Emboss element is added to the active layer
- Tune parameters in the element card in the right sidebar (live preview on the canvas)
- Export plot-ready G-code when satisfied
Menu path: Add Object → Image → Emboss
Key controls
- Surface Mode: lines, options: Relief Lines, Deformed Mesh, Topography, Bars
- Size: 150mm (30-260mm step 1)
- Relief Height: 34mm (0-160mm step 0.5)
- Lines: 60 (2-120 step 1)
- Angle: 0° (-180-180° step 1)
Tune surface mode, size, relief height, lines, and angle in the right sidebar. Open Studio to see every control.
Shuffle (in the element card) re-rolls: mode, lineAngle, rotate, tilt.
What I plot with Emboss
- Pen-plotter art on Bambu Lab, Prusa, Creality, and other pen-holder setups
- Layered linework exported as G-code with pen-up travel
- Combined with other V3 objects and modifiers in the same document
Frequently asked questions
Where is Emboss in the menu?
Add Object → Image → Emboss
What can I adjust?
Start with the key controls above, then fine-tune everything else in the right sidebar inside Studio.
Is this non-destructive?
Objects live on layers as elements. You can edit parameters anytime; delete the element to remove it.
Does Emboss work with multi-pen plotting?
Yes. Use Pen Palette on a layer to split linework by color, or set per-path ink on modifiers like Offset.
