Growth is an Add Object tool in Simulation inside 3DPlotter V3 Studio. Branching plants grown from a botanical parameter set, drawn as linework.
How to use Growth
- Open Studio → Add Object → Simulation → Growth
- A live Growth element is added to the active layer
- Tune parameters in the element card in the object stack (live canvas preview)
- Export plot-ready G-code when satisfied

- Space — 2d · Flat, Depth

Tune space, trunk fill, branch fill, leaf form, and leaf fill in the inspector — open Studio to see all options.
Shuffle (in the element card) re-rolls: seed, trunkStraightness, apicalDominance, branchDensity, branchSymmetry, branchAngle, branchAngleVariation, branchSpread, branchCurvature, branchLengthVariation, gravity, windStrength, windDirection.
Playback: Grows from the base out; stop anywhere to plot that stage
What you can plot with Growth
- Pen-plotter art on A4/A3 beds (Bambu Lab, Prusa, Creality, and other pen-holder setups)
- Layered linework exported as G-code with pen-up travel
- Combined with other V3 objects and modifiers in the same document

Is this non-destructive?
Objects live on layers as elements. You can edit parameters anytime; delete the element to remove it.
Does Growth work with multi-pen plotting?
Yes. Use Pen Palette on a layer to split linework by color, or set per-path ink on modifiers like Offset.
