Hanging is an Add Object tool in Simulation inside 3DPlotter V3 Studio. A top-pinned curtain of threads or woven cloth, swaying on a breeze.
How to use Hanging
- Open Studio → Add Object → Simulation → Hanging
- A live Hanging element is added to the active layer
- Tune parameters in the element card in the object stack (live canvas preview)
- Export plot-ready G-code when satisfied

Key controls
- Cloth — threads · Hanging Threads, Woven Grid
- Hem — scalloped · Straight, Scalloped, Frayed
- Width — 120mm (20–400mm step 1)
- Height — 161mm (20–400mm step 1)
- Thread Spacing — 1mm (1–30mm step 0.5)
Tune cloth, hem, width, height, and thread spacing in the inspector — open Studio to see all options.
Shuffle (in the element card) re-rolls: seed, mode, bottomEdge, lengthVariation, breezeFrequency, breezePhase, hangStiffness, gravity, elasticity, coupling, fullness, foldWaves, crossingGap, pinned, pinTwist, pinFalloff.
