I added Relief under Add Object → 3D. A height field drawn as occluded scanlines.
How to use Relief
- Open Studio → Add Object → 3D → Relief
- A live Relief element is added to the active layer
- Tune parameters in the element card in the right sidebar (live preview on the canvas)
- Export plot-ready G-code when satisfied
Menu path: Add Object → 3D → Relief
Key controls
- Field: terrain, options: Terrain, Dunes, Crater...
- Scanlines: 60 (2-200 step 1)
- Sample Detail: 160 (8-400 step 4)
- Width: 150mm (20-180mm step 1)
- Depth: 110mm (10-180mm step 1)

What I plot with Relief
- Pen-plotter art on Bambu Lab, Prusa, Creality, and other pen-holder setups
- Layered linework exported as G-code with pen-up travel
- Combined with other V3 objects and modifiers in the same document
Frequently asked questions
Where is Relief in the menu?
Add Object → 3D → Relief
What can I adjust?
Start with the key controls above, then fine-tune everything else in the right sidebar inside Studio.
Is this non-destructive?
Objects live on layers as elements. You can edit parameters anytime; delete the element to remove it.
Does Relief work with multi-pen plotting?
Yes. Use Pen Palette on a layer to split linework by color, or set per-path ink on modifiers like Offset.
