3DPlotter V3 Day 9: Pattern Modifiers

Day 9 of 3DPlotter V3 is here, and this one is all about pattern modifiers: Radial Array, Linear Array, Spiral Array, and Mirror Array.

If you've ever wanted to take a single design and turn it into something complex, these tools are about to become your new best friends. Instead of manually duplicating and positioning elements in your drawing software, you can now apply these modifiers directly in 3DPlotter to generate intricate, repeatable patterns in seconds.

Here's a quick breakdown of what each modifier does:

  • Radial Array: Rotates your design around a central point, creating circular or mandala-like patterns. Perfect for spirographs and radial symmetry.
  • Linear Array: Repeats your design in a straight line, either horizontally or vertically. Great for borders, grids, or tessellations.
  • Spiral Array: Arranges copies along a spiral path, adding a dynamic, organic flow to your plots. Ideal for abstract art or decorative elements.
  • Mirror Array: Flips your design horizontally or vertically, creating symmetrical reflections. Use it to balance compositions or create kaleidoscopic effects.

These modifiers are part of our ongoing V3 rollout, and they're designed to give you more control over your 3D printer pattern customization.

One of the best parts? You can combine modifiers. Try stacking a Radial Array with a Mirror Array to create complex, layered designs that would be tedious to produce manually.

If you're new to 3DPlotter, remember that it turns your Bambu Lab or any other 3D printer into a pen plotter. You get access to 50+ Hershey fonts, a curated pen holder STL database, and now these powerful pattern modifiers, all for a one-time €29.90.

Ready to start plotting with modifiers? Log in to 3dplotter.xyz and try them out.
