3DPlotter V3 Day 2: The Problem – Cluttered Plotter UIs vs. a Studio Layout

Day 2 of 3DPlotter V3: we're tackling cluttered plotter UIs with a studio layout. Share what you plot most and help shape V3!

3DPlotter V3 Day 2: The Problem – Cluttered Plotter UIs vs. a Studio Layout

Day 2 of our V3 journey: we're tackling the biggest problem in pen plotter software, cluttered UIs that make you feel like you need a manual just to start a plot.

If you've ever used a plotter drawing machine, you know the struggle: menus stacked with options, confusing toolbars, and settings buried three levels deep. It's like trying to use a 3D pen plotter with a flight simulator cockpit. You just want to draw, not debug software.

That's why for V3, we're designing a studio layout, a clean, focused workspace that puts your art first. Imagine: a canvas where you can see your design, a simple side panel for pens and layers, and a bottom bar for plot settings. No clutter, no chaos.

We're asking our community: What do you plot most? Is it text art, mandalas, technical drawings, or something else? Your answer will shape how we prioritize features in V3.

This isn't just about making a pen plotter machine easier to use. It's about making the entire experience feel like a creative studio, not a technical lab. Because when your tools don't get in the way, you can focus on what matters: making something beautiful.

We'd love to hear your thoughts. Drop a comment with your biggest UI pet peeve, and let's build V3 together.
