Bulge is an Add Modifier tool in Effects inside 3DPlotter V3 Studio. Magnify or pinch strokes inside a circular region.
How to use Bulge
- Select the layer whose linework you want to transform
- Open Studio → Add Modifier → Effects → Bulge
- A modifier node is appended to the layer stack (non-destructive)
- Reorder modifiers in the stack; later modifiers see earlier output
- Tune parameters in the modifier card; preview updates on the canvas

- Acts On — own · This Layer, This Layer and Below
- Direction — bulge · Magnify, Pinch
- Radius — 50mm (5–300mm step 1)
- Strength — 0.6× (0–1× step 0.02)
- Twist — 0° (-720–720° step 5)
Tune acts on, direction, radius, strength, and twist in the inspector — open Studio to see all options.
Modifier stack: Preserves path count — canvas selection maps stay valid
Acts On: Choose *This Layer* or *This Layer and Below* in the inspector.
